Indian actress Tripti Dimri was born on February 23, 1994, and she primarily works in Hindi cinema. She starred in her first leading role in the romance drama Laila Majnu (2018) after making her screen debut in the comic flick Poster Boys (2017). Her roles in Anvita Dutt's historical dramas Bulbbul (2020) and Qala (2022) won her praise from critics; the former won her a Filmfare OTT Award. She was listed among Forbes Asia's 2021 30 Under 30. Animal (2023) is the highest-grossing action movie in which Dimri had a supporting part.
With the 2017 comedy Poster Boys, directed by Shreyas Talpade and starring Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Talpade in the key roles, Dimri made her acting debut. In an official reimagining of the Marathi film Poshter Boyz, she played Talpade's romantic partner. Although Dimri's performance was overshadowed by others in the ensemble cast, a Bollywood Hungama critic thought she was "decent" nonetheless. She subsequently starred alongside Avinash Tiwary in the 2018 love movie Laila Majnu. She "imbued her Laila with an edge that made the character's constant flirtations with danger believable," Anna M. M. Vetticad wrote in her Firstpost review.
After that, she made a brief appearance in Ranbir Kapoor's highest-grossing action thriller Animal (2023). Dimri's role in the movie was well-received by Monika Rawal Kukreja of Hindustan Times, who described her as "a treat to look out for". Dimri's career advanced significantly as a result of the movie, since her performance brought her more notoriety.
